Poets in the making...

Wishes of an Elderly Man

I wish I loved the Human Race ;
I wish I loved its silly face ;
I wish I liked the way it walks ;
I wish I liked the way it talks.
And when I’m introduced to one
I wish I thought What Jolly Fun !

Walter Alexander Raleigh (June 1914)

Wishes of a Teenage Girl

I wish I loved my feet ;
I wish I loved your nose ;
I wish I liked the way I smile ;
I wish I liked the way you speak.
And when I’m introduced to you
I wish you wore a mask.

Wishes of a Young Student

I wish I loved books ;
I wish I loved their four hundred and twenty pages ;
I wish I liked boredom.
And when I find a book
I wish I thought That ’s Great Entertainment !

Wishes of a Young Adventurer

I wish I could travel everywhere ;
I wish I saw Earth from the air ;
I wish I discovered every country ;
I wish I were forever free.
And when I am where I’m not from
I wish I never went back home.

Wishes of a Daughter

I wish I could dream all the time ;
I wish I could dream to forever make you smile ;
I wish I could keep it like the most precious present ;
I wish I could always smile ;
And when life nears its end
I wish we had a beautiful dream.

Wishes of a Cat-Lover

I wish I loved rats and mice ;
I wish I loved their evil ways ;
I wish I liked their little legs ;
I wish I liked their nasty eyes.
And when I happen to meet one
I wish I thought What a nice animal !

Wishes of a Poor Lonesome Guy

I wish I won lots of money ;
I wish I had a gorgeous honey ;
I wish I had many good friends ;
I wish I drove a benz benz benz !

Wishes of a Melancholy Girl

I wish I loved walking at noon ;
I wish I loved seeing the silver moon ;
I wish I liked sleeping at night ;
I wish I liked it when we don’t fight ;
I wish I knew what love is.

Wishes of a Young Lady to "Two Star-Crossed Lovers"

I wish I saw them once again ;
I wish they did not feel that pain ;
I wish they could have lived out their love ;
I wish I were with them above
The shining sky ; Romeo and Juliet
Wish they were together forever.
